Teeth Straightening can mean a lot of things depending on where you live like North America, UK or Australia. But having your teeth straightened does not mean that you have to wear those dirty metal braces or invisalign braces. The dental procedures have evolved over the years and to straighten your crooked teeth, it does not involve braces much to get straight teeth.
Orthodontic Braces
Orthodontic Braces are the traditionally used way to straighten teeth and involves metal wires fixed in front of your teeth and strategically placed brackets which will help in aligning the teeth overtime. Though the dental procedure extends to over a year and is expensive, it is very effective and produces good results.
Invisalign Braces
Invisalign is the new comer to the world of dirty metal braces that makes you embarrassed when you smile. This nifty little invisible braces are in to replace metal braces by providing see through braces. This will help in straight your teeth, but will not help in correct your teeth bite. Less effective, yet costs about the same as traditional metal braces.
Porcelain Veneers
This is very popular with the celebrities and others as it invovles placing a coat of porcelain over the teeth to give away an impression of a perfect smile. This will not however help in straighten your teeth and is very expensive too.
Lingual Braces
This type of braces are much like your traditional braces, except that they fit in the back of your teeth and hence are not visible from the front, hence it works without anyone noticing.
