Tooth paste forms a vital component in the management of teeth and oral hygiene. Selecting the right type of tooth paste is of vital importance. Low quality tooth pastes can do more harm than good.  The right type of brushing mechanism should be used to ensure the proper cleaning of the teeth.

This ensures the longevity of teeth over long periods of time.  The tooth paste gives three types of actions.  First and foremost is the abrasive action which helps  it to remove the plaques of the teeth and then is the antiseptic action which helps us to get rid of all the germs and bacteria that causes bad smell and decay of teeth.

The better part is that of the fluoride action which helps the teeth replaces the hydroxipatite of the teeth and keep the teeth strong and healthy. Swallowing of the paste is not advised as this leads to fluoride toxicity.  Do not use tooth paste for anything other than teeth hygiene and brushing for long duration and using more paste will cause harm than good.
